Anna Izzo is born in Taranto. Her family move to Sorrento, where she remains until she is 20. Her father Enrico, an art collector, opens a gallery attended by the main Neapolitan artists, who introduce her to the world of art and painting while she was still an adolescent. She paints her first oil-on-canvas composition, entitled "The Old Man".
She leaves her family and moves to Rome when she was just 20 years old, and she enrolls as a Psychology Department student at "La Sapienza" University. She begins to attend Roman artists and takes part in several collective shows. This is the complete list of exhibitions and prizes awarded.
1985
She is invited to join in the First International Extemporary Painting Show in Balsorano, where she wins attestations and awards.
Exhibition with artist Raffaele Guarino, held in the Tourism Board exhibition hall in Massa Lubrense.
She produces her first sculptures, a series of ceramic works including The Altar-Boys.
She is invited, together with Campania's most prominent artists, to exhibit in the Regional Collective Exhibition in Sorrento, where she wins the "G. Sole" Gold Plaque and the special prize award by the Municipality of Castellamare di Stabia.
Along with painting, she continues her plastic modelling work, producing a series of ceramic sculptures.
She sculpts "Maternity", dedicated to her mother Gemma.
At the Extemporary Art Show held in Torre del Greco's Mediterranean Art Centre she is awarded a diploma and a gold medal prize.
1986
Alighiero Panzironi Foundation in Rome invites her to join in the "Cimento 75 - Art Prospects" show organized by The Latium Literary Association, where she receives a special award.
She is awarded the first prize in the 3rd "A stop to Violence" painting, ceramics and sculpture exhibition organized by the Rome City Council Department of antiquities, fine arts and cultural issues.
She works in Parliament at the secretarial office of a group of Members of Parliament.
She join in the International Painting and Graphics Meeting held at Maschio Angioino Castle in Naples.
Vesuvius Prize Collective Show, Michelangelo Arts Centre, Torre del Greco.
1987
Collective show: Tourism Promotion Board, Pistoia.
Personal show at the Social Club, Pistoia.
She joins the world of publishing, where she is responsible for the production of special features about the fashion world, a great opportunity to develop her talents.
Her work is exhibited at the Extemporary Show organized by the Ischia Island Municipal Council.
